Quotes & Deposits
Quotes are valid for 24 hours from date of issue.  Please note that a quote (or general enquiry) does not constitute a booking - your booking date is not secure until a design has been finalised, a quote provided and a booking deposit has been received.

Once the deposit has been paid, the quoted price is fixed to the original design ordered.  Any changes to the original design quote are subject to viability and quote review

 

Should the design change, Custom Cake Designs will endeavour to accommodate your changes, however, we reserve the right to amend the quote accordingly (where applicable) to reflect the changes required. 

 

In the event that an agreement not be reached on changes to the revised quote, the normal cancellation procedure is applicable.

When placing the order for your cake, a deposit is required with the balance being payable before delivery or collection of your cake.  For wedding cakes, the balance must be paid 1 week prior to the wedding.

Deposits are payable upon acceptance of the order by Custom Cake Designs.

​

Changes to Design
In most cases, we will be able to accommodate changes to the design (depending on the notice provided and how far to completion your cake is).  Where design changes involve more cost and/or effort than quoted, there may be an additional charge applied.

Cancellations
If you decide to cancel your order after the deposit is paid, a full refund will be applicable if the order is cancelled within 14 days (from order acceptance date).  For short notice cakes, the deposit is non refundable.

 

For cancellations that are received more than 4 weeks from the delivery date, a full refund of the deposit is applicable.

In all other cases, cancellation refunds will be subject to reasonable costs incurred

​

Storage:
Where cakes are covered in sugar paste (or have sugar paste figurines), these should not be refrigerated as this may cause the icing to run due to condensation. 

Storage of these items should be in a COOL DRY place out of direct sunlight.

 

Delivery & Collections:
Custom Cake Designs will deliver your cakes for a delivery fee within a reasonable distance from ourselves for cakes that exceed the value of $600 and/or require set-up at a venue.  Please contact us with your delivery address in order to quote a delivery fee.

 

Acceptance of the cake indicates that the cake has been delivered / collected in good condition.  Please note that we cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to the goods after delivery / collection has taken place.

 

Where delivery has been pre-arranged, anyone at the delivery address who receives the goods will be taken to have been authorised to receive the goods by you
